“I had a hard fall 2 weeks ago on a trail I have done thousands of times. A moment of inattention caused me to trip and fall on my right hip, elbow and FACE. Yup. My sunglasses jammed into my face and I have a huge "shiner" with hematomas below my brow and on my cheekbone. Also a small fracture in my nose from the bridge of the glasses! Do I need to replace the shields?
No. The shields are a one-time purchase designed to last for years. Garments wear out; shields do not.
Will anyone be able to tell I’m wearing them?
The shields are just ⅜ inch thick and designed to sit discreetly under most everyday clothing.
What if the size is wrong?
We’ll exchange it free, no questions asked.
How do I wash them?
Remove the shields, wash the garment normally, and wipe the shields with hot water.
Do hip protectors prevent every fracture?
No product can guarantee prevention. Phoenix shields are designed to lessen impact force and may reduce the severity of an injury in a fall.
